It is easy to buy smaller items when I do not need or want to buy the entire sheet of material. If I only need a 2″ x 2″ x 6″ piece its nice to be able to go in and get it and not have to buy the entire 20′ stick of it or if its big enough the entire sheet which could costs thousands. When I only need a small piece and after using that small piece I would never use it again. The customer service is always great and everyone is always happy to see you. Its always a clean and happy environment.

The metal was soaked in oil but I imagine that’s to prevent corrosion. I got three 8’ pieces but one length was cut 1/8 short, I’ll just adjust my build slightly. Usually metal I’ve purchased comes with a little extra, like a half inch.

Saskatoon Metal Supermarkets service was great. The supplier that cut the metal left non-straight – non perpendicular – jagged edges along the MIC-6 plate. Given it wasn’t critical to have straight edges this was OK. But in the future it would be great if the edges were straight and perpendicular to the other edges.
